Christian is the co-founder of CBTX Capital, an investment and real estate development firm based in Austin, Texas. Prior to co-founding CBTX Capital, Christian served as the Chief of Staff and Counsel to the Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission where he was responsible for implementing policy, legal, and technical strategies for the Commission’s regulation of the Texas oil, gas, coal, and pipeline industries.
Christian also previously worked as an attorney at Jackson Walker, LLP where he advised corporate clients on various business transactions including securities, mergers and acquisitions, business formation and governance. He has also served as a special assistant to then Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams. Governor Rick Perry appointed Christian to the One Call Board of Texas (responsible for notification systems designed to prevent underground damage to utilities and gas pipelines).
Christian received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin where he was the Staff Editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law.
Christian and his wife Krystle are blessed with three children (Maggie, Sam, and Jack) and call Austin home.
