Jackie is the Content Marketing Specialist at Austin Angels, where she uses storytelling as a powerful tool for advocacy, awareness, and connection. With a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Film Studies from York College of Pennsylvania, Jackie brings six years of nonprofit marketing experience to her role blending strategy with heart in everything she creates.
Her passion for this work began at a young age. Growing up with Type 1 diabetes, Jackie spent summers at a diabetes camp, first as a camper, then as a counselor. There, she formed meaningful bonds with children experiencing foster care and witnessed the impact of being a consistent, caring adult in their lives. That experience shaped her purpose: to use media to amplify the voices of others and advocate for change. Today, she considers it a deep privilege to help tell the stories of children, youth, and families experiencing foster care. Jackie lives in Austin with her wife and their two cats. In her free time, she’s likely creating fun short videos, thrifting for vintage treasures, or watching a classic film with popcorn in hand. |
