Ryan is a founding member of the law firm Hohmann, Brophy, Shelton & Weiss, PLLC and has been practicing law for over 15 years. His law practice focuses on business litigation including claims for breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, securities fraud, director and officer liability, and unfair competition. Ryan has also defended high value theft of trade secret cases and breach of contract cases involving patent infringement issues. He previously practiced at the international law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP and at the Austin litigation firm of Hohmann, Taube & Summers, LLP. Ryan received a Bachelor of Behavioral Sciences degree from Hardin-Simmons University where he graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Communication and History. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin (with honors). Ryan is a lifelong resident of the Austin area where he lives with his wife (Karen), son (Luke), and daughter (Drew).
