Peppermint ParkwayFor the holidays we played Santa's Elves and provided a holiday basket centered on celebration and connection for every family in our programs and on our waitlist. Each basket included gifts, toys, emergent needs, holiday meals, and more!
Thanks to Insperity, Discount Tire and Foster Share, sponsored by the Miracle Foundation, we also offered our families a night at COTA's Peppermint Parkway! The experience was filled with holiday fun, a drive-thru light show, music, and genuine connection. Click here to watch our Holiday Recap! |

Cooking class
We cooked up something extra special for our mentors and
youth––a cooking class, taught by real Austin-area chefs at the Art Institute of Austin! They taught the group how to use a knife properly while cutting a whole rotisserie chicken and how to make various dishes using that meat, such as chicken salad, chicken soup, and chicken quesadillas. Mentors and youth enjoyed learning their way around the kitchen and trying new food, while spending some fun quality time together. |
