Foodie, mom to an amazing 12 year old daughter, foster parent, dog mom, empath, creative, fun, loyal friend. Likes: coffee, Wordle, the Pacific Northwest, fresh sheets, finger puppets, wine, sloths, tattoos, unicorns, queso, sushi, traveling, time with friends and family Dislikes: traffic, elevators, snakes Katie graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She moved to Austin in 2000 and began her career as a teacher. She has a passion for kids and has taught all different ages and subjects for over 20 years. In 2021 Katie decided to become a foster parent to two amazing kiddos. As a single parent of now three she was in need of support. She was so inspired by Austin Angels and the care she received from them. The amazing support she felt eventually led her to a career shift and she is honored to now be a part of the Austin Angels team. She looks forward to giving back to foster families. In her free time Katie enjoys boxing, all types of art, spending time in nature, and planning new adventures |
