PATRICIA MURPHY

Patricia has been a foster parent through Helping Hand Home for Children since 2014. During this time she has parented eight children, welcoming into her home some of the hardest children to place. She current placement is a 16-year-old. Her achievements were honored in 2017 by Helping Hand Home presenting her the Champion for Children Award.

Patricia has worked at the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs since 1995 and is currently the Director of Compliance. In addition to her work and commitments to foster children, she is an avid runner, completing 21 marathons, recently started playing piano, and enjoys cooking and spending time with her eight siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
