Sarah has worked with numbers for over twenty years. She earned her MBA from Texas State University in 2004. During a successful career working as a financial officer for the largest landscape architecture and planning firm in Texas, Sarah joined the board of Austin Angels in a volunteer capacity as the treasurer and full-charge bookkeeper in January 2016. She also became a Love Box leader and is still supporting her girls and their parents seven years later. (She loves to share pictures with the staff of their fun and creative adventures together!) After watching the exponential growth of Austin Angels, Sarah had the opportunity to work for Austin Angels. In February 2018 she transitioned from board member to full-time CFO. As a Love Box leader, she sees the direct impact volunteers have on families and this excites her about coming to work every day. Sarah is a listener and pays attention to the people around her. She loves to relax by spending time outside in the sunshine and is an avid runner. Sarah and Zach head to the coast to fish as much as possible and when they aren’t fishing, they can be found at a baseball game, listening to live music, or working on their tiny house. She loves to spend time with her niece and nephews Hadley, Judson, Sebastian, and Sylas. Last but not least, Sarah really loves big dogs – especially a yellow lab named Clarence.
