STACY GRIZZLE
BOB/Gyn sonographer, former Dietitian, introvert, reader, lake-lover, mom to many, wife, daughter of the King
Likes: Fancy pizza and craft beer, big earrings, yellow flowers Dislikes: Being hangry, clutter, cucumber Born and raised just north of Dallas, Stacy is proud to be a native Texan. She moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in nutrition. Following her passion for the medical field, specifically obstetrics, Stacy also obtained an Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and currently works part-time as an OB/Gyn sonographer. Stacy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Kelly, for over 20 years. Together they have three biological children (16 year old boy/girl twins and a 13 year old son) and are new foster parents to an energetic and outgoing 12 year old boy. As if their house isn’t chaotic enough, they also have two rescue pups, Maisy and Bandit, who are deeply loved by their humans. Helping children in need has always been a desire in Stacy and Kelly’s hearts. They are “Mom and Dad” to many neighborhood kids and have served in the youth group at their church for almost 5 years. In 2020, they felt God’s calling on their life to take the next step and become foster care certified. Although being a foster mom is not easy, Stacy draws strength and hope from her faith in Christ. It is the understanding of Jesus’s deep love and sacrifice for her that has motivated Stacy to leave her comfort zone, do hard things, and show Christ’s love to others in need. In addition to carpooling, helping with homework, doing laundry, and feeding 4 teens/preteens, Stacy enjoys reading, yard work, decorating and redecorating her house, and mountain biking with her family. |
