Growing up Stevie moved around a ton but eventually landed in New Mexico where she was taken in and adopted at the age of 20 by the best parents ever. Despite the trauma and hardships she faced during her upbringing she made a promise to herself to keep fighting for her dreams and also help fight for others. Stevie moved to San Marcos in August 2017 to continue her education at Texas State University. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences in May 2020. During her last year of school she completed two internships with Austin Angels as well as became a mentor through the Dare to Dream program. She knew that with her lived experiences combined with her deeply rooted passion of advocating for children in foster care and foster families that she wanted to be a part of the Austin Angels team in a deeper capacity. Stevie joined the team as a case manager in the fall of 2020. Stevie is an avid concert attendee and loves swimming at any beach she can make her way to. Her weekends are occupied with watching movies, naps with her husband and laughing until she cries with her friends.
