From being raised in Buda, to graduating high school in North Austin and onto attending college in San Marcos, Taylor is very familiar with the central Texas area. Her usual activities include hiking, river jumping, journaling, mopeding, and hanging out with her three younger siblings. She graduated from Texas State University in 2019 with a degree in Psychology. Throughout her time in college, her mentor worked for Austin Angels and she had heard about the organization through many other friends. In January 2020, she joined the Austin Angels team as a full time Case Manager. Taylor believes deeply in the idea that trauma can be healed and restored through loving relationships, community support, and intentional care. Hearing Austin Angels mission statement and how similar it was to her own personal values, she realized it would be a great fit! She has experience in a wide range of social services including juvenile probation, refugee restoration, and youth care. She is passionate about justice for at-risk populations, effective communication, social empowerment/influence, and family preservation. In her free time, she likes to run, blog about people in her city, and hangout with her friends. |
