Fun mom and wife, willing to try anything once in life, loves learning new things daily Likes: Camping with family, anything to do with water, thunderstorms, church and life it self Dislikes: Having to stop for gas, being the bad guy, having to say "no" to anyone
Trey grew up here in Austin, as did her husband of 15 years, Mike. Trey has a 23-year-old daughter from her previous marriage, and Trey and Mike have three children together (ages 13, 12, and six). They also have temporary custody of Mike's son (six years old). In 2015 their lives changed forever when they took in their nieces and nephew (ages 17, 15, and 10) and become kinship foster parents. It has been quite the roller coaster ride for them since then. There is so much that they have learned and so much that they believe needs to be revisited (by CPS) for future family members who take in kinship placements.
Trey's family was referred to Austin Angels about a year ago because of the emotional, physical, and financial toll that going from a family of six to nine placed on them. From the physical Love Box with items for their whole family to the one-on-one mentorship for our three kids who are still in foster system, the family feels Austin Angels’ programs have been a blessing. Trey hopes to bring her knowledge to this small council as well as learn new information for the future, and is honored and grateful to be a part of it.
